A traditional Hawaiian staple with a mild sweet taste, taro brand poi is a long time Island favorite!  Perfect alongside salmon lomi, lau lau, kalua pork, haupia, or your next big bowl of beef stew! Do you know, an easy way to thin poi is to open the bag's twist-tie, put in some water, retie it, and massage the poi and water together in the bag?  Then, squeeze out a poi serving, and twist-tie the rest for later.  Poi is rich in iron and calcium.  Put a little honey, sugar or pureed fruit in it for baby.  Or, add it to baby's formula. Poi can be blended into batter and muffin mixes too, for a nutty, fresh flavor.  Ingredients:  pure taro and water.
